Institute is held on the campus of Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic, CT

Application Deadline:  May 30, 2008  All application materials must be received by that date.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Completed applications submitted after this date will be considered on a space available basis.  Due to the high interest in these programs, it is imperative that you follow all instructions and complete and return all required forms by Friday, May 30, 2008.  Make sure that the parent/guardian consent portion is dated and signed.

Selection Announcements:  June 5, 2008.  Selection Committee decisions are final.

To complete the application, please make sure we receive all 6 sections that make up a completed application.  The sections are listed below.  All sections are to be printed and mailed.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

  1. Complete this on-line form.  You will receive a confirmation page once you have completed and submitted this on-line form.  Please print and mail it along with the other 5 sections requested below.
  2. Complete and mail the activities form found linked on the confirmation page.
  3. Complete and mail the parental consent form found linked on the confirmation page.
  4. Mail a copy of your high school transcript that should include Marking Period 2, 2007-08 grades.
  5. Have two recommendation forms from one teacher and one other sent to CREC directly from the person recommending you.  SIFT-ECSU_Recommendation_Form_2008.pdf
  6. Complete and mail a typed or word-processed essay that is no longer than 2 double-spaced pages  The topic of the essay will be explained on the confirmation page.
